During the fall of each school 12 months, I travel…a lot. I wake up early, catch flights across the nation, and search the Hertz parking great deal for rental cars with backup cameras. During this time around, we’m hardly ever at my desk, we’m meeting a lot of awesome pupils, and learning about the cool and exciting things students are doing. However when I’m not on an airplane or at the car that is rental, here’s just what I’m probably doing…
- Interviews and Receptions and tall School visits
Check your highschool’s hallways for our visit posters. You should see our poster outside your counseling office if we are coming to your school over the next couple of weeks. We shall also be doing Discover USC presentations on campus and through the United States and abroad.
- Hoarding Pens
If there is certainly something you should bring with that you school that is high, it’s a pen. We shall give you one thing to write in, but we do not give you one thing to compose with. We give some pretty useful information at these visits, so it’s generally helpful to make note of a few notes. Last i visited schools in southern Virginia week. I started the week with about ten pens that are extra ended with two.
- Responding to questions
We fork out a lot of time answering concerns while we travel (and really through the year.) But, whenever we’re on the road, this is our central mission. We make an effort to respond to all associated with the question you have while we are in your town. SO, the best piece of advice I can provide you is ASK YOUR QUESTIONS. It’s also simpler to answer questions whenever we are standing in front side of you then to later email us.
- Sitting in my own car
I sit in my own car…a lot… often it feels than I do in the actual high school like I spend more time in my car. Often I’ll check Facebook (I’m old) or Snapchat, and make some updates that are funny the newest filters (lately the bunny is my personal favorite.) Inevitably I end up sitting in my car longer than I should when I’m (still) listening to Hamilton and trying down my most readily useful (browse worst) rap abilities. That reminds me! Anybody filling out the Quick Takes yet? https://shmoop.pro/1984-by-george-orwell-points-to-ponder/ Remember, short, sweet, and just be YOU! This is not a trick.
- Eating local but drinking Starbucks
Have any good restaurant recommendations that are not Chipotle? Send them our way! We love to explore cities and discover about where you live. Understanding where you come from, helps us understand your application. We want to get a feel for the community and experience that which you experience on a daily basis. I tried a great place that is greek week which was in a totally random location…thanks Yelp!
